Gackt Camui Date of Birth 4 July 1971, Okinawa, Japan Birth Name Gackt Oshiro Nickname Gaku-chan Height (1.80 m) Mini Biography Formerly of the band Cain's Feel and later, Malice Mizer a "Visual-Kei band". Forced to lean piano at the age of three, Gackt always hated piano but eventually becomes really good at it. A very competitive man, Gackt wants to be the best at everything, so he took up everything that his peers took up and became better than them. Gackt cooks very delicious curry. He is currently solo and works with his band, Gacktjob. Gackt plays several musical instruments such as piano, guitar, drums, trombone, trumpet, bass, and tuba. Gackt claims to be able to speak French and English, however he is not very proficient. He can speak Chinese however, as seen in the movie Moonchild. |

Malice Mizer (band) In 1995, Gackt joined Malice Mizer as the group's vocalist, lyricist and pianist. Fan base and record sales grew substantially over the following years and the band became known for its distinct visual kei theme, with elaborate costumes, on-stage scenery and theatrics. After two albums, Gackt left the group though, citing an unfulfilled desire for more creative control over the group's compositions, as opposed to just writing the lyrics. Malice Mizer were as famous for their music as for their live shows, featuring lavish historical costumes and stage sets, short silent theatre pieces preluding various songs, whimsical dance routines, and even a particularly notable instance of the vocalist descending to Earth (the stage) as a fallen angel, only to ascend again at the end of the concert. Throughout their history, the band went through several different lineups and three drastic image changes. On December 11, 2001, it was announced that Malice Mizer would go on an indefinite hiatus. |

Moon Child (movie) Is a movie starring Gackt Camui (formerly of Malice Mizer) and Hyde (L'Arc~en~Ciel), Zeny Kwok and Wang Leehom (Lee-Hom Wang). It is set in the world of the near future, where an orphan and a vampire form a friendship that is put to test by a gang ravaging the city. In this movie, Sho (Gackt) falls in love with a girl named Yi-Che, who was mute since she was little, and in turn she falls in love with Kei (Hyde). This story takes place in a fictional city called Mallepa. It was filmed in Taiwan. Aside from a brief introductory scene set at the turn of the 21st century the movie really begins in earnest in the year 2014 in the fictional Chinese city of Mallepa. Many Japanese immigrants have flooded into Mallepa for some reason thats never fully explained and although Mallepa`s official stance is equality among races there is still major discrimination from citizens toward the Japanese they blame for a recent economic downturn. |

nee, nee... Gackt launched a new mobile site that is supposed to be the most interactive site ever. Lots of contests and stuff (plus it is allegedly looked after by Gackt-sama himself)
